Here are some frequently asked questions about booking a tattoo or permanent makeup service with our staff.

POV: You’re considering booking with us

FAQs

Do you accept walk-ins?

Yes, I have regular walk-in hours from 11-6 Wed-Sat. Appointments are available outside of this timeframe.

Do you tattoo minors?

No

What forms of payments do you accept?

Cash and most major credit/debit cards.

Square, which we use to process cards, also offers a pay-in-four option via afterpay. (This requires prior approval)

Do I need to put money down when booking?

Yes, I do require a non-refundable retainer for your appointment which is put down at the time of booking. This goes towards the total cost of your service.

Will it hurt?

Traditional tattoos do involve some pain, but most of the time it is easy to deal with. For those sensitive areas, I do sell numbing cream for $25. For best results, this will need to be applied 90 minutes before your appointment. Some have compared it to a "hot scratching feeling." But, people would not be returning again and again for tattoo after tattoo if it hurt that bad. Most of us are not into pain, but the beauty of the tattoo and the pride associated with wearing it far outweighs a little pin-stick here and there.

For Permanent Makeup Services, the area is numbed during service and is included in the cost.

How much is it going to cost?

When it comes to tattoos, you get what you pay for. Yes, there are plenty of people tattooing out there that will charge very little. But, look for quality, and be willing to pay for it. Never haggle over the price of a tattoo. It is disrespectful to the artist. Think of it this way: This is a piece of art you'll wear for life.

Our "Shop Minimum" is $80.

Is it okay to get a tattoo if I'm sick?

Getting a tattoo when your immune system isn't at 100% isn't a good idea. You're going to need your strength and your white blood cells to heal your tattoo, something your body won't be able to do if it's already battling against your illness.

If you have an appointment, reach out and reschedule for when you're feeling well again.

How long will my permanent makeup last?

In general, most cosmetic tattoos last 1 to 3 years. Many factors determine how long your PMU will last. Skin type, lifestyle, excessive sun exposure, and medical conditions are just a few of these variables.

Permanent makeup is low maintenance, not no maintenance. Touch-ups should be expected. Touch-ups/color refreshers are recommended every 1 to 3 years.

Am I a candidate for permanent makeup?

Unfortunately, not everyone is a candidate for permanent makeup. The following is a list of circumstances that may disqualify you from receiving a PMU procedure. Should any of these apply, please consult your physician and contact Peregrin with specific questions regarding eligibility.

Is permanent makeup safe?

We adhere to the highest standards of health and safety. You can be assured that all risks are minimized and that you are in safe hands.

However, because the treatment involves implanting pigment into the skin, that means it is invasive. While this is what provides permanent cosmetics with its long-lasting benefits, there are also some risks. As with any form of tattooing, these can include allergic reactions, infection, or scarring.

You will be given the best aftercare advice to follow after your treatment and it is your responsibility as the client to follow this advice once you leave the studio.
